Have you always wanted to write for kids? When you try, do you run into ogres, trolls, and wicked stepmothers? (otherwise known as writer's block, wandering plot lines, and cardboard characters)
We may not have a fairy godmother, but we DO have help for you! In this eight week series of classes, we'll cover the basics of writing for kids. Plotting, characterization, nonfiction, marketing, and much more. You'll have the opportunity to have your own stories read and critiqued in a friendly, supportive atmosphere.
Instructor Peggy King Anderson has five children's books in print, (including the acclaimed FALL OF THE RED STAR, and SAFE AT HOME) along with numerous stories in HIGHLIGHTS, POCKETS, and other children's magazines. She has taught creative writing to adults for fifteen years.
